Communication Triage Assistant · Last updated October 31, 2026
Communication Triage Assistant (the "app") is a personal tool used by a single individual, its developer, to manage their own email, calendar, contacts and to-dos. The only user of the app is its developer, and it accesses only that person's own Google account. This policy explains what Google data the app accesses, why, where it goes and how it is protected.
What Google data the app accesses
- Gmail (read access and the ability to create drafts): to read recent messages in the user's own mailbox, decide which need action, summarize them, and save a suggested reply as a draft. The app never sends email.
- Google Calendar (events): to read the user's own calendar and, only after the user approves, create or edit events.
- Google Contacts: to recognize who a message is from, and to add or update a contact when the user asks.
How the data is used
Google data is used only to provide the app's features to the user: sorting email, suggesting to-dos and calendar entries, and drafting replies. It is not used for advertising, is not sold, and is not used to build profiles, to train any model, or for any purpose unrelated to the features above. No human reads the user's data other than the user.
Where the data is stored and who processes it
- Storage. Summaries, to-dos, notes and settings are stored in a database and a notes folder on a computer owned by the user. Google sign-in tokens are stored on that same computer in files only the user's account can read. Full email bodies are not kept; only short summaries and metadata are.
- Processing by service providers. To summarize and classify messages, the text of a message is sent to a third-party AI language-model service and the result is used immediately. Notifications and summaries are sent to the user's own messaging account. These providers receive data only to perform the service for the user.
- No other sharing. The app does not share Google user data with any other third party.
Google API Services User Data Policy
The app's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Retention and deletion
Data is kept on the user's own computer for as long as the user chooses. The user can revoke the app's access to his Google account at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions, and can delete all stored data by deleting the app's database and notes folder. The user may also ask those providers to delete data under their own terms.
Security
Access to the app's dashboard is limited to the user's own devices over a private network, and the one connector reachable from the internet requires the user's own sign-in. Sign-in tokens and keys are stored with restricted file permissions, no secrets are kept in code, and a weekly automated check reviews the app's security setup.
